Care Card is an annual charitable shopping program run by The Board of Visitors benefiting The BIG Pink Bus: 3D Mobile Mammography, a program of Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center. Participants purchase a Care Card for $60 and use it to save 20% at participating local retailers and restaurants during the 10-day shopping event each October.
The 2026 Care Card shopping event runs October 16–25, 2026. Shopping savings are valid only during those 10 days.
Proceeds benefit The BIG Pink Bus, which provides free and low-cost mammography screenings to underserved women in the Phoenix metropolitan area through Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center.
Care Cards are available for purchase online for $60.
Visit www.thecarecard.org and click on “Purchase Now”. You’ll fill out your name and email address, apply any promo code, and pay securely via Stripe. You’ll receive two emails immediately after purchase. One email will be your eCard with your name, eCard number and list of Promo Codes for the retailers who offer the Care Card discount for online purchases. You will also receive an emailed receipt of payment.
Yes, select the gift option and enter the recipient’s information. You can include a personalized gift message.
Yes – there is an “In Memory Of” option during checkout.
Credit and debit cards are accepted.
A fully covered purchase (100% promo) skips the payment step entirely and generates your eCard for free.
Your eCard is a digital card delivered by email. It includes your name and card number, which can be saved to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet on your phone. Alternatively you can take a screenshot of your eCard and save it in your photos app. You present the image of your eCard at participating retailers during the shopping event as proof of purchase to receive your 20% discount.
After a successful purchase, your eCard is emailed to the address you provided. The email includes your eCard image, Apple Wallet and Google Wallet buttons, a calendar invite for the shopping dates and a list of Promo codes for the retailers who offer the Care Card discount for online purchases. Those retailers are denoted with a red heart on the list of participating retailers and restaurants.
Check your spam/junk folder first. The sender is Care Card. If it’s not there, you can resend your Care Card with the Quick Link “Lost Your Care Card?” at the bottom of the home page of the Care Card website at www.thecarecard.org. If you still do not see your eCard in your email inbox, contact carecard@boardofvisitors.org or leave a message at 602-235-9554 and a representative will resend your eCard.
Yes. The email contains an “Add to Apple Wallet” button. Tap it on your iPhone to save the pass. The pass is valid through October 25, 2026.
Yes. The email contains an “Add to Google Wallet” button. Tap it on your Android device to save the pass.
Send an email to carecard@boardofvisitors.org with your name and the email address you listed. An administrator can look up your card and resend the email.
Yes. Each eCard has a unique card number assigned at purchase and should only be used by the person named on the eCard.
Show your eCard (from email, photo, Apple Wallet, or Google Wallet) to the cashier or server at a participating retailer during October 16–25, 2026. They will apply your 20% discount at checkout. Restrictions may apply – see the Exclusions listed by each retail participant on the Shop and Dine tab of the Care Card website, www.thecarecard.org.
Yes, some participating retailers offer an online shopping code and they are denoted with a red heart next to their business name listing on the Shop and Dine tab of the Care Card website. The online codes are listed toward the bottom of your eCard email.
No. Your digital eCard on your phone is all you need. However you may print out your eCard image and present that if you prefer.
Yes. You can use your Care Card at as many participating retailers as you want during the 10-day event — there is no limit on usage.
Show them your eCard and let them know it’s the Board of Visitors Care Card program. Confirm that they are listed on the Care Card website as a participant. Any questions or issues can be resolved if you contact the Care Card administrator at carecard@boardofvisitors.org.

Retailers can register or renew their participation at boardofvisitors.org/retailer-registration/. Registration is reviewed and approved by the Board of Visitors admin team.

Calendar dates are pulled from the program database. If you received an invite with 2025 dates, it was sent before the 2026 dates were fully updated — contact us and we can resend your eCard with a corrected invite.

Care Card, Arizona’s biggest retail fundraising event, has been serving the community for 26 years. Proceeds from Care Card sales support local charities serving the healthcare needs of women, children, and the elderly in the greater Phoenix area.
