Grants Overview

Since 1908, thanks to the community’s support of our three fundraisers, The Board of Visitors has granted more than $19 million to over 100 community nonprofits that help serve the healthcare needs of women, children and the elderly.

The Board of Visitors considers grant requests from 501(c)3s who serve the healthcare needs of women, children and the elderly in the greater Phoenix community. Requests for funding are limited to one request per organization each calendar year. If an organization has received a previous grant from The Board of Visitors, a Final Grant Usage Report must be received by December 31st in order to be considered in the next grant cycle.

The Grant Process:

  • Begins each year with organizations submitting a Letter of Interest (LOI) via email.
  • All LOIs are reviewed and selected organizations are asked for full proposals.
  • Submitted proposals are reviewed and site visits are scheduled with selected organizations.
  • Grants are awarded at The Board of Visitors Grant Award Celebration the third Tuesday in February.

Funding Requests For Projects Will Be Considered For:

  • Seed money for specific projects
  • General operating support
  • Capital campaign to raise a specified sum of money within a defined time-period to bring needed healthcare services to the community
